Insomniac and Motorola have teamed up to expand the Discovery Project competition series to Experience Creators of many kinds! Aspiring installation artists can now enter for a chance to bring their design to life at Electric Daisy Carnival New York with the help of our Moto X Mentor, Ian Oosthuizen, from the Insomniac team. The winner will be chosen by a panel of Insomniac judges and invited to build out the installation on site at the festival. Other perks include festival passes, hotel accommodations, a Moto X smartphone, and documentation of your journey with your Moto X Mentor by a Motorola video team.

How To Enter

Step 1: Log in to your account by clicking Log In. If you have not created an account, click Sign Up and follow the necessary steps.

Step 2: Return to the competition page and click the Submit tab in the left-hand column.

Step 3: Upload your designs as JPEG or PNG with a file size limit of 2 MB.

Step 4: In the Inspiration line, tell us about the concept behind your design. (Maximum 3,000characters.)

Step 5: When you're finished, click the Submit button in the lower right-hand corner to complete your submission.

NOTE: Your installation art design should be an original art creation; painting/mural, sculpture, or free standing structure that fits in with the Electric Daisy Carnival thematic.  For reference and background on the EDC theme please see (images below).

Submission must be multiple sketches from various angles. Please see Official Rules for mandatory details on height, weight and shipping of your structure.
